Happy 1st of September!
This blog, I wanted to share something I have been up to in August. Earlier in the month, I found out that I made it to the top 6 of a design competition hosted by fellow small business owner, Emma Warren.
Emma Warren is the owner of www.emmawarrendesign.co.uk where she creates embroidered clothing with her cute yet sassy illustrative designs.
Emma created a competition for designers/artists/graphic designers to get creative and design a A5 print that represented her brand and customers would love to pin on their wall. The brief was completely open to interpretation and style.
I created this illustration of a girl wearing one of her embroidered t-shirts with my personal favourite design, then 'everything will be ok' sun. I wanted to create an impactful yellow theme as it fitted with her brand identity and I wanted it to stand out and be bold. I also added a pop of colour by colouring the sunglasses turquoise because if there was one colour that shouted 'Emma Warren ltd', it's definitely turquoise!
My design made it to the top 6 and is now one of the prints you might receive when ordering from Emma Warren's website - how exciting is that!
